According to the National Coordination for Food Security, one in three Haitians are in need of food assistance and it is estimated that one million people are living with severe hunger. In Port au Prince, the percentage of the population in an emergency food crisis varies between 15 and 50%. Dare Humanity is doing what we can to tackle food insecurity in Haiti.
Through our new program, Helping Hands, we provide food for families located in Port au Prince twice a month. Food items include dry beans and rice, spaghetti, fresh vegetables and more. It is our desire to serve at least 1,000 people by the end of 2021.
With our goal for next year, we need partners like you to ensure we can continue providing food on a monthly basis.
